Lenny Henry really captures the spirit of the West Indian culture and how it migrates throughhout his life and upbringing in Dudley. A brilliant platter of accents, phraes and a procession of fascinating stories that will resonate with all generations. Somehow he manages to balance tears of laughter with tears of human kindness, and in doing so capture the very essence of human nature.All the characters have their own unique indentities and it is virtually impossible not to find some type of affinity with them all. I have played the CD many times and each time the laughter and sentimentality become even more uplifting. Having seen him in live performances in the UK and Australia, this to me is Henry at his very, very best. From the West Indies to the West Midlands this is an sbsolutley brilliant journey, and one that you will stay with you long after the show!!
