Great starting point for creating a renaissance men costume. I added some brim trim at the shoulders, tied some more around the sleeves, changed the buttons for theme-appropriate ones, and my husband looked very original and realistic for halloween. The shirt has buttonholes on the neckline, and I put a suede cord through it for even more era emphasis. Then he wore a dramatic leather belt with studs over the jacket to complete the look. If you add a beret with a feather and tall boots, you'll look like out of a time machine. All materials are sturdy, and the overall quality is good for a costume.
