The film's draw is the music Chuck has made and the who's who gallery of world-famous musicians he's graced by playing with them. The real story is his character and values. In ~1982 I was a shy 20-something guy lucky enough one night to attend an Allman Brothers rehearsal at the band's Oneco, Florida warehouse. Awestruck and trying as hard as I could to be the invisible fly on the wall, Chuck noticed me, introduced himself ("Hi, I'm Chuck"), and struck up a conversation with me. That side of Chuck, which you'll see in this wonderful, retrospective film, isn't contrived. It's 100% genuine.
